This roundup is compiled for advance planning: in July and early August Seattle and the surrounding area host a string of major concerts, sporting events, and festivals, so tickets and logistics should be arranged ahead of time. In early July we highlight family and orchestral programs — three performances by the Seattle Symphony with live music to How to Train Your Dragon, and on July 10 a concert by Forrest Frank. The sports slate includes Portland Thorns vs Seattle Reign (July 12, women’s soccer), the MLS match Portland Timbers vs Seattle Sounders (July 16), and several Seattle Storm home games in the WNBA at Climate Pledge Arena. Musical headliners in July include Joji (July 19) and Evanescence (July 23); there are themed K‑pop parties and a hyperpop night, stand‑up by Jeff Dunham, and an extended run of the musical Hell's Kitchen with many matinee and evening performances at the Paramount Theatre. In August don’t miss Lindsey Stirling at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and the joint Santana & The Doobie Brothers tour (August 6), as well as the three‑day Capitol Hill Block Party (August 7–9) featuring MUNA, Disco Lines, and Wet Leg.
