Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez reported deliberate sabotage at a thermal power plant in the western state of Zulia, which caused a large-scale power outage across the country’s entire western region. According to her, unidentified individuals tampered with gas pressure several days ago, causing the power system to collapse. Rodríguez linked the incident to radical groups opposed to the recently signed oil agreements and said their aim was to harm the population. She called on oil industry workers to support the authorities and warned those organizing disruptions to public utilities, demanding that they abandon covert methods of struggle and promising not to allow such actions to continue.
